Kim Tardy, our Director of Talent, was named one of the winners of Burnett Specialists’ “Best Boss in Town” award for the city of Houston. The award aligns with National Bosses Day on October 16 and to honor the holiday, Burnett Specialists awards several winners in Houston and in other major Texas cities.

Tardy was nominated by multiple alliantgroup employees for the award, which was reviewed by a panel of Burnett Specialists. The winner was chosen from the strength of the submitted nominations.

“This award means so much to me,” said Tardy. “To be nominated for the award by my colleagues truly makes this extra special. However, this award represents the great work of all of our leaders. It is the strongest reaffirmation of the great things that all of our leaders at alliantgroup do every day to make it such a great place to work! Every step we have taken has been for the purpose of continued employee growth and our firm will always remain invested in the professional development of our people.”

Since joining the firm in 2014, Tardy has been instrumental to the team. She, along with the talent department, have built out numerous professional development programs, implemented career development plans for every department, created a new onboarding program, improved the firm’s benefits package and helped grow the firm to more than 700 employees.

Under her leadership, the talent department has also made strides to improve the office culture. From spirit days to philanthropic initiatives and Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts, Tardy has taken great strides to better the company.

For her efforts, alliantgroup has received several workplace culture awards, such as Best Place to Work by the Houston Business Journal, Houston Chronicle’s Top Workplaces in 2016 and 2015, Entrepreneur’s Top Company Cultures award in the large companies category, and Connectiv Workplace Innovation Award for Revitalizing Workplace Culture.

“In her three years at alliantgroup, the list of things Kim has been able to accomplish for our firm and our professionals is nothing short of amazing,” said alliantgroup CEO Dhaval Jadav . “We are truly blessed to have her on board.
