alliantgroup and Habitat for Humanity Day 2

Over fifty alliantgroup volunteers partnered with Habitat for Humanity for the construction of a new home in Southwest Houston’s Brentwood neighborhood.  While alliantgroup already encourages its professionals to invest in their physical health and well-being, this new community initiative provides opportunities to fulfill other aspects of well-being, which make an enduring positive impact on the quality of our homes and communities.

Dhaval Jadav, alliantgroup CEO, joined his colleagues for the project, “being out here with all of my brothers and sisters is so exciting and gives us appreciation for all that we have. It feels really good to give back to the community and help someone build a wonderful home that provides shelter and a base of operations, which  gives their children the same opportunities we’ve all had.”

What made Habitat for Humanity so special for other alliantgroup professionals? Read their experiences below.

It is so exciting to be part of something so great, which is alliantgroup, and then to be able to pay it forward to one Houston family. Words cannot express how proud I am to be a part of our own big family here at alliantgroup and the feelings of pride to be able to build what we did today.
Lynn Hedlund, SENIOR MANAGING DIRECTOR

Everyone deserves a place to call home. This is where lasting memories are created and are talked about throughout multiple generations. Working with H4H gave me an overwhelming sense of a higher purpose. It was a very humbling experience to be able to do something so small that is going to mean so very much to a deserving family. The staff at H4H was so pleasant to work with and you could really tell that the on-site workers who oversaw our build were sincerely passionate, driven, motivated and excited about the mission. We worked hard, but we had tons of fun. It was truly my honor to be able to donate my time to help a family realized the joys of homeownership.
Kim Tardy, DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES

This was my first Habitat for Humanity experience, and I am so glad I got involved. I’ve always enjoyed projects where I get to give back to the community, but I was not sure how “cut out” I was for a construction project. It’s safe to say we all surprised ourselves! At the end of the day, we had accomplished something that many of us probably did not think we had the ability to do (I mean those trusses were heavy!). It was fun to be challenged in a new way and get to know fellow alliantgroup team members that I don’t interact with on a regular basis. I am already looking forward to alliantgroup’s next community initiative!
