alliantgroup takes Cook Elementary School to the Houston Museum of Natural Science

As part of its youth and community investment initiative, last week alliantgroup volunteers took more than 70 underserved students from Cook Elementary School in Houston on a field trip to the Houston Museum of Natural Science.

During the field trip, students were guided by alliantgroup volunteers to explore areas such as the museum’s Cockrell Butterfly Center, Brown Hall of Entomology, the Morian Hall of Paleontology and the Hall of Ancient Egypt. In addition to the tour, the students were also treated to lunch and were sent home with backpacks filled with books on dinosaurs, butterflies and bugs and dinosaur fossil excavation science kits.

The field trip is just the latest excursion in a growing list of community outreach initiatives sponsored by the Blue Heart Fund, alliantgroup’s nonprofit charity, designed to expose students to STEM education at an early age.
