alliantgroup Continues to Donate to Comp-U-Dopt

alliantgroup is proud to continue our partnership with Houston-based nonprofit Comp-U-Dopt to put computers into the hands of local students.

Members of the alliantgroup Information Technology team prepared more than 200 company retired laptops, docking stations and monitors for donation. The computer equipment will soon be in the hands of Houston-area kids, who will use the equipment for a variety of educational activities that will help harness critical skills and encourage their interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).

Comp-U-Dopt was founded in 2007 with the belief that every child deserves equal access to education and opportunity. Comp-U-Dopt accepts donated computers from companies, organizations and individuals overhauling their technology systems, and refurbishes each unit before delivering them to students without access to a computer at home.

This partnership is the latest in a growing list of community outreach initiatives sponsored by the Blue Heart Fund, alliantgroup’s nonprofit charity, designed to encourage students to pursue a STEM education at an early age.

Born from alliantgroup’s mission of education and awareness, the firm’s Blue Heart Fund is a nonprofit charity focused on giving back to the community and fostering STEM education across the nation. Along with fundraising for various philanthropic endeavors and promoting STEM education in K-12 schools, the Blue Heart Fund offers generous STEM-based scholarships to students pursuing a career in the field.
