alliantgroup sponsors Back to School event for underserved students at Parker Elementary

This past Wednesday, August 21, the alliantgroup Corporate Citizenship team and some of our very own amazing employees helped distribute 200 backpacks and school supplies to underserved students at Parker Elementary!

“We are so grateful to alliantgroup’s CEO Dhaval Jadav and their volunteer staff members for this partnership. Not only does the donation benefit the 200+ students receiving backpacks directly, but also their families connected them. Parker Elementary is so appreciative of this generous donation and others like it from alliantgroup, as we know it takes community partnerships of this length to ensure our children receive equitable access to education and resources.” – Parker ES Principal, Chavis Mitchell

This is the third year alliantgroup has supported Parker Elementary School’s efforts to make sure ALL of their students, regardless of background and economic situation, have what they need to be successful this school year! The event was part of the school’s annual Back to School Meet and Greet with teachers, students, parents and administrators.

Some of our amazing volunteers that assisted that evening were: Matt Noll, Bridgette Brashear, Alicia Stewart, Alison Smith, Andres Arroyo,  Austin Carswell, Emma Fritz, Hannah Ward, Rebecca Hoffman, Serena Hedgepeth, Tara O’Brien, Taylor Imus, Trey Stokes along with Tomi Odutola, Andy Royce, Ian Kent, Chris Alderson and Ben Goad from our ForrestBrown Team visiting from the UK.  All of these volunteers personally helped every student choose the perfect backpack to start the new school year in style!

“The Parker ES community is very grateful to alliantgroup for their continued support of our school. As a public school, we rely heavily on donations from generous sponsors and not all of our students have equitable resources.  alliantgroup’s donation of school supplies allows Parker ES to provide all of our students with the tools they need to ensure success and allows them to focus on their purpose for being here – which is to learn!  A million thanks to alliantgroup!” – Parker ES PTO- Stacy Anderson

alliantgroup looks forward to continue this wonderful partnership with Parker Elementary and with other Houston ISD schools this new school year!
