In the fall of 2020, alliantgroup started a wonderful partnership with the American Cancer Society in order to bring preventative care information, different cancer awareness information and overall wellness opportunities for our professionals. With the help of the American Cancer Society, the alliantgroup Corporate Citizenship, Talent and Wellness teams joined forces to bring the “Living your Best Life” series to our professionals. Through this series, our teams were able to spread the word of healthy living, share more information about our company benefits and encourage our professionals to give back to the community together.
To kick off our “Living your Best Life” series, our talent team shared some important information with our professionals about employee benefits, the importance of preventative care and open enrollment details. To continue the celebration and in honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the American Cancer Society connected us with Dr. O’Shea from Houston Methodist in Sugar Land to bring an informative and interactive Breast Cancer awareness webinar to our alliantgroup family on October 21.
For our Wellness piece, we had the American Cancer Society: Making Strides 5KM! Like most races this year, this fun run/walk was virtual! Our professionals had until November 14 to track their run or walk onStrava and then upload to our alliantMOVES app to receive participation credit and points.
We are happy to share that we had over 55 professionals participate in the Virtual Making Strides 5KM!
To conclude Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and to touch on our Corporate Citizenship efforts of giving back to the community; a group of alliantgroup volunteers dressed up in pink to cheer on Houston Area Breast Cancer Survivors at the Houston Making Strides Survivor drive thru parade on November 14!
