During the weekend of April 18th, alliantgroup cycling team completed the MS 150 to raise awareness and funding for multiple sclerosis. The MS 150 is a 150 mile ride from Houston to Austin and included approximately 13,000 riders. Here are some quotes from our team on their experience.[

Ryan Blackmon
“To be a part of a group of individuals united to push themselves to their limits physically in order to raise awareness and money to fight a debilitating disease is a powerful experience.”

Ryan Zhen
“It was not until the blaring cheers at the finish line that I felt the gravity of the MS-150 and all that it meant – this was not a race, this was a journey. Thousands of riders, volunteers, and supporters join together year after year for a cause – to help treat and cure the disease that is multiple sclerosis that affects millions worldwide. We are a team on a mission, and I could not be prouder to finish with our alliantgroup team for my first and definitely not last MS-150 journey.”

Patricia Butterfield
“The MS 150 was an incredible challenge! I greatly enjoyed pushing myself during training for the last five months to become a better cyclist and it was a phenomenal feeling to cross the finish line on that milestone day in my fitness journey. I gained too much from this experience to describe it all, but the short list includes more confidence, vastly improved health, amazing memories, and a fantastic new group of friends. I can’t wait for next year!”

Amanda Ramirez
“72 demanding miles with the sun beating down on me, and never ending hills. The reward: Realizing I can conquer anything as long as I keep moving.”

Kristin Kabay
“Two of my friends have MS and I was so proud that alliantgroup sponsored our team for such a worthy cause! Although I was unable to ride, volunteering along with 3,000 others was such a rewarding experience! Since the inaugural ride in 1985, $185 million dollars have been raised for the MS Society.”

Tuan Hoang
“Volunteering for the MS 150 was a great experience as I was able to support the riders and a wonderful cause while having fun with my coworkers and representing alliantgroup!”

Lara Berghammer
“I did it as a challenge and a commitment to myself, while helping others and contributing to a great cause. The most rewarding moment was riding into Austin and seeing everyone there to support the riders and the cause. The most heartfelt moment was seeing the individuals directly affected by MS and feeling grateful I was able to help in a small way.”
