alliantgroup Hosts STEM Field Trip For Houston Elementary Students to NASA

As part of its youth and community investment initiative, last week alliantgroup volunteers took students from Parker Elementary on a STEM field trip to Space Center Houston.

During the field trip, the students and alliantgroup volunteers learned learned about orbital modeling with hands-on exercises. And later the volunteers helped the 5th graders learn how to build rockets.

In addition, students were treated to a talk from astronaut John-David Bartoe, who served as Chief Scientist for the Space Station.

The field trip is the latest excursion in a growing list of community outreach initiatives sponsored by the Blue Heart Fund, alliantgroup’s nonprofit charity, designed to expose students to STEM education at an early age.
